We paid a supplement of over £80 each for a night at this lodge rather than the Outspan. What we got for this simply was not worth it. Like many people we only stayed at Treetops one night. We arrived quite late, so didn’t get to see much of the waterholes in daylight. This is the most fantastic place. We saw a huge herd of elephants at the water hole - they arrived at about 5pm and stayed all night. The animals you see at Treetops , will be seen aplenty at other places but it is the perspective of peeping on the private affairs of elephants from way above them that makes it unique . As long as the elephants commandeer the waterhole , no other animal gets a look in , so the action starts late at night... more

We stayed here on the eve of my 28th birthday! It was fantastic - we didn't see anything overlly exotic - but we did see lots of elephant, buffalo and hyena. But this was just one day of a week long safari - plenty of lions in the Masai Mara to worry about seeing them here! You have to bear... more
