This place is really special. We kickstarted our Kenya trip with a 3 night safari in the Tsavo area - this was the best of the 3 lodges we stayed it. Strange to mention first off but I found it helpful that the lodge made it clear that you should tip once at the end - as I begrudge having... More

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your Tsavo safari and Lions Bluff in particular. Tipping can be a difficult issue when abroad, we believe that all staff should share the income and that the client must be aware of this policy from the onset. We hope to see back at the Bluff on your next Kenyan holiday. More

Lion's Bluff strap line is 'A View with a Room' well, you've got to see it to believe it. Stunning, unforgettable are just a couple of adjectives that spring to mind. Perched on a bluff with a 360 degree panoramic view, the African plains stretch out before you....the cloud shadows chasing the sun across the vista. Iain Leckie, the owner... More

After eighteen years of visiting Kenya we have settled on self-drive safari as the way to go. This was the first time that we booked the whole trip on-line from England and it worked a treat. Lion's Bluff was recommended by Kenyan friends who, as soon as they heard we were going, booked themselves in for the same three nights!... More

Self drive is an adventurous way of seeing Kenya, but worth it when it comes to having your own time schedules. LUMO,s wildlife is often viewed in a rush, it's so peaceful to just park and watch their interactions. We hope to see you back at the Bluff on your next Kenyan adventure! More

So we're doing a trip from Antwerpen to Capetown by 4x4, and returning from the Machame route on Mount Kilimanjaro we crossed the Kenian border and arrived after dark without a reservation with 2 cars, 5 people. You can't be treated any better then the way we were. A warm welcome with big smiles from the staff, we enjoyed a... More

The place is absolutely breathtaking! The room was very clean featuring a wonderful panoramic view of the park. Both the food and the staff were excellent especially the masai guards escorting us all over the place. As there is no electric fence at this lodge you really need them because animals can come as close as your doorstep. :) The... More

Thank you for your review. Yes the roads to our sanctuaries can be a bit bumpy! The good news is that the new tarmac road past us is in progress which will make Lions Bluff that much easier to reach. I hope to see you back enjoying the views soon. More

From all the tents at Lions Bluff you get a truely amazing view of the african savana and if you're lucky the clouds will clear and Mount Kilimajaro will pop her head up. This is the place to come for big african skies and sweeping views. Stay on your tent veranda or move to the slightly cooler main guest area... More

We only had one night in this small piece of paradise but were completely impressed. Very competent & friendly staff. A great view. Very nice rooms. A must for eco-tourists on safari. Hope they can keep their excellent standard.

We just got back from Kenya spending three nights around Tsavo East- West and Amboseli and this lodge has the best view on savana ever seen! Rooms are in wood, very classy, bathrooms need shampoo, but no problem with that. We are in safari mood, right? Bravo for the managment!

Lions Bluff is truly exceptional. A 360 degree view. The bush, the mountains, Kilimanjaro, the animals almost at your doorstep. The lodge is located only 6 km from one of the gates to The Tsavo West national park but you may enjoy equally great game viewing experience within boundaries of the local conservancy. The weird looking, red elephants are abundant,... More
