Rooms: 10 King Size and 15 twin. All rooms are tents which stand on concrete plinths. Every tent has en-suite facilities with hot shower, wash basin and flushing toilet. Besides the beds, each tent has dressing table and wardrobes. The power is via generator and comes on at 6pm – 11pm and 6 am – 8am. Torches and candles are... more

The camp we enjoyed the most (and we visited six during our safari!). It is beautifully located next to a small lake with a lot of animals around. Monkeys were jumping from the trees in a hammock, impalas approaching up till a couple of meters, hippos, and lots of birds, waterbuck, and more. The ranger took us for a walk... more

A warm welcome, a superb location next to a lagoon with is very own Hippos and Crocs! We ate over Dinner by candle light next to the lagoon, after a night game drive in which we saw grazing Hippos and Bush Babies. A good nights sleep was had by all in the large, clean and well appointed tent, No boy... more

A collection of of a couple of dozen 'tents', each on its own platform with a thatch roof over, fully equipped shower room and toilet and real beds. No need for mosquito netting as you zip yourself in at night. The central dining area of the camp looks out over a lake in which hippos and crocodiles bathe. If the... more

Having stayed the first night at Voi Safari Lodge we didn't think it would get any better - it did! We arrived at Ziwani in time for lunch to be greeted by a refreshing towel and drink. We were shown our "tents" - not what I remembered as a girl guide! Verannda overlooking the hippo pool, ensuite, proper beds, electricity... more

Ziwani tented camp represents the most luxurious form of camping I have ever experienced. Each tent is located on a raised platform and a wooden structure around the tent supports a thatched roof. At the rear of the tent is a bathroom area complete with shower, toilet and washbasin all with hot and cold running water. Everything was clean and... more

After staying in the beautiful Galdassa Camp, we realised it might not be quite so good, but i was not prepared with what we found. The River and Views are beautiful and the food is ok, but the tent we stayed in needed to be burnt down. The front was falling down and dirty with holes and teh zip didnt... more

We were collected by our private safari bus at 6.00 am from Voyager and we set off through Mombasa along the Mombasa - Nairobi highway towards Voi town and a pit stop. We used the garage at Voi and got a cheap drink and plate of scrummy masala chips - toilets weren't too bad either. This took about 3 hours... more

When booking my safari I was un-nerved by the night at the 'tented camp' as I don't do camping! Well I couldn't have been more surprised. Upon reaching the camp we were given hot towels and a refreshing drink. We only stayed for one night, but the staff were fantastic, the food was great, and the location was supurb. The... more
