We didn't stay in Sandakan Harbour Square B&B, but we have met the owner Rose. She arranged almost all of our itinerary for a very reasonable price. We couldn't find air tickets to Mulu National Park, she made it possible. Mount Kinabalu was fully booked in June, she made it possible.
Must be the most well-located accomodation in town and good value for budget travellers. Sandakan Harbour Square B and B is right on the waterfront in the developing part of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Selection of room from dorm to private room with A/C and attached bath. Just down the way from the Swiss Inn which has an enjoyable patio area for drinks and dining.
