Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really good air conditioning. Room was nice, though bathroom much less so (including numerous ants and combination shower/toilet). The lobby area is more flash than the rooms. Internet reasonably priced and again, it is located in the air conditioned lobby, unlike some of the cafes. Less backpacker feel than others in Lonely Planet, but good budget hotel, not fancy. We paid about 85 RM for a room with a queen bed. more

A great little freindly Hotel.

Stayed there for two nights on a recent tour through Malaysia. The Hung Wing Hotel gets all the basics right. For its price range its very clean, has A/C, clean bathrooms with hot water and is in a good central location. Also offers a laundry service.

The staff are very helpful with good english and were always smiling. The egg mayo sandwiches in the morning were not bad either!!!

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is not the Ritz. No swimming pool or restuarant. But in its price range you really can't go wrong. Besides it better to eat out and use other hotels if you want to go for a swim. I paid 57 ringett for a room on the top floor (about £8.50 a night). more
