Nak hotel was a real refreshing treat after touring most of Sandakan. It stands out from the neighboring buildings with its reds and its grandiose decor, remarkably so without looking pretentious. Service staff were always waiting on us and willing to go out of their way. Its rooftop bar was the most delightful part of our stay i must say.... more

I personally liked the place for it's quirky character, but there were too many setbacks for me to stay again. I echo the comments made by eriktera. The rooms are shabby, especially the windows and the bathrooms. Although it is relatively cheap, it was still incredibly dated hotel.
