Had a great time -staff very nice, sometimes rude but wondering how they can cope with so much to do... very relaxing and fantastic value for money ! Restaurant is very nice and cheap too. Can go for fantastic fish on barbecue at dinner time for a bit more. Highly recommended ! more

We stayed at Tuna Bay primarily to do our PADI Open Water course as the dive centre is right next door. The chalets are pretty basic but no worse than most in Malaysia. Rooms though simple, basic and tired-looking, all other things that really mattered e.g comfortable beds, clean sheets, warm showers, lights, aircon, toliet flushing system and ceiling fan works pretty well. We travelled to Tuna Bay in March 2009 (two couples from New York) and absolutly loved every minute of it. It is excellent value for money. The rooms (and bathrooms) are very clean (so important!!). Local staff employed in the restaurant were excellant ESPECAILLY Jimmy. However three members of staff from KL had a real attitude problem towards guests and were constantly complaining to guests about the owners of the resort and how badly off financially they were.
