I have booked a 3D/2N package with my husband & 2 other couple friends to Pulau Besar for the Good Friday hols on 14 May 06. However I packed up & left after 1 night stay at the Aseania Resort. This place is probably the worst I have stayed in my entire travelling experience. I don’t expect luxury for the little amount we paid for, but I do expect basic/standard cleanliness of the surrounding, room/bathroom & clean drinking water. There was a swimming pool but it should be called an algae pool and a breeding heaven for the mosquitoes. The pool water was so dark & filthy that I had thought it was a mud bath for the hotel guests. Fine, we could live with the filthy pool as long as we stayed away from it. But not for the drinking water. The drinking water served was dirty and filled with many tiny particles. The water was in whitish colour and looked like they have dissolved calcium tablets in it.
