Appearances are deceiving: an attractive Kasbah building in an enviable location right on the margin of the Sahara dunes. BUT dirt is everywhere. Quite a few of the rooms were bug-infested. Stayed here overnight and the setting was idyllic. A great base to explore desert from. You can hire a guide, go into desert on camel and stay the night in a tent. We went quadbiking and local guide showed us interesting things around the area. Great pool and rooms were rustic and authentic. more

was in 2006...the place was just opened and, moreover, I stayed there with the owners...so everything was perfect: all was new, the food was incredible and the ubication is great if you want to see some places in Morocco different than only Fes and Marrakech. We went on an overnight desert trip through the Kanz Erremal (didn't stay in the hotel) and had a great experience. As you drive towards Merzouga, you can see the bright orange dunes in the distance. They only get more beautiful - and amazing - as you get closer. Seeing the dunes was one of the highlights of our trip... more

Swimming in the pool overlooking the sanddunes and camels is a wonderfull experience. The staff is a little confused, the bill was not right; they forgot several bottles of wine to charge. We booked this through i-escape. I felt that for the price this hotel offered good value, when you consider where you are and that you are a captive audience then it is good value. The photos do the place justice to be honest, though as some other reviewers have said the shower had fallen off the wall, it worked fine... more
