It is ironic to rate this place as average because it is anything but average, more like one of the most unusual hotels I've stayed at. The place is perched on top of the cliff which makes for great views but I spent the whole time feeling like this whole thing was about to collapse. The room was pretty basic,... more

Fantastic value, good and willing service, and a meeting place for international adventurers. While the rooms are basic, they work and more could not be expected for the atmosphere. Best Moroccan breakfast at any price, including great olives and olive oil. Evening meal a great deal. For those planning a trip in a hurry beware, Kelaat M'Gouna is in the... more

The chance to live like a Berber in a hilltop location with magnificent views of the river valley below from a series of terrace viewpoints, or from your private balcony if you are on that side of the hotel. The rooms are reasonably appointed, though dark. Food good, served on the terrace or inside, sitting on cushions. The staff put... more

I absolutely loved this place! It is very unique, and perched on top of a cliff with great views! The room was very comfortable (not that warm, but there was a fire which they could have lit if requested) with a private balcony overlooking the river below, and also a large picture window looking out above the bed. Also there... more

A wonderful drive over the Atlas Mountains down into Dades Gorge area to the Kasbah Atran was a highlight of our adventure to Morroco. If you wish to experience something very different away from the cities and towns go there for a few nights. The valley and ruins are fun to explore. Look at the website: www.kasbahitran.com and email me... more

We stayed here for one night over Easter and took two rooms with balconies which came with a tented sitting area. Great views, friendly staff who took great pride in their small hotel. Food was good typical Moroccan fare (Berber soup, couscous etc) and the small dining room was delightful with typical cushions and wall hangings. Mint tea on arrival... more

Stayed in Kasbah Tigramatine, the second kasbah built by the same people as Kasbah Itran for two nights over Easter. This kasbah doesn't have the same beautiful outlook as Kasbah Itran but still has nice views from the terrace where we had breakfast. It's also quite a long way further up the valley between El Kelaa M'Gouna and Tourbist but... more

This is a quaint little place perched on a cliff face, with wonderful views of the river below, and two decaying kasbahs on either side. The all-inclusive rate gives excellent value for money, with good authentic food and warm service. Our rooms were a bit cold and the fire in the little fireplace caused more smoke than warmth, but there... more

This Kasbah is located in the town of El Kelaa des Mgouna, about halfway between Ouarzazate and Tinerhir. It is pearched up on a cliff over looking the valley. The accommodations are very unique. Rusitc, and built in a traditional Berber style, but clean and well kept. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They gave us tea and snacks... more
