We only stayed at dar Kamar for one night on our way towards the desert from Marrakech but could easily have stayed here longer. Lovely accommodation within Kasbah in converted court house. Unbelievably helpful manager Mohammed who rejuvenated our souls after somewhat trying time with staff hiking in the Atlas mountains. bent over backwards to help. View from terrace fabulous... more

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in Dar Kamar. The Riad is a beautiful retreat from the surrounding bustle of the kasbah, very nicely decorated and always sweet-smelling. A lovely hotel in the Kasbah and within easy walking distance of many shops. Breakfast is served on the terrace and the rooms are very clean. The decor is a mixture of Moroccan and African. The staff spoke English and were very nice. I enjoyed my stay. more

The service was exceptional; however if you are wanting a place to relax - then try another hotel because 80% or the guests are Spanish and they behave as they are inside a brothel or some bar! We stayed at Dar Kamar for only 1 night en route to Zagora - a brief but perfect experience. The Dar is located within the old Taourirt Kasbah and once parked up with a quick phone call (staff speak good English) two uniformed porters came to show us the way and carry our bags. Dar Kamar is a beautiful and tastefully decorated hotel - the fusion of objects from Jordan, Africa and Asia works magically. Plus it is very well located in the Ouarzazate Kasbah.
