Hugely atmospheric place built into the city's signature pink City ramparts. I think the message is quite clear from the other reviews... the front area is lovely around the pool, bar and TV room. These are all in what was the original palace. the actual bedrooms to the back of the complex are of Holiday Inn standard, dull and basic but reasonably clean. A lovely set of buildings in beautiful gardens. The room was classed as 'traditional-style' and although slightly shabby was very comfortable and clean with amazing traditionally painted furniture & doors. The service in the restaurant and bar was excellent - delicious food and friendly helpful staff. I would love to stay there again. more
