Clean rooms, good security, but very basic.

This hotel is frequented by many Chevron visitors and others with business in Lekki. It is about a 5 min. drive from the Chevron compound. The first thing you notice is that the hotel a couple of blocks off the expressway, which makes for a quiet location. The hotel is surrounded by a large fence and several armed guards, which is a necessity in Lagos. Checkin was fast and efficient. I received an "executive diplomat" room which was comparable to a Super 8 motel in the USA. The room was small (but not tiny like European cities), featured a king size bed with clean linens. The bathroom was small but clean with a large shower/tub combo and a movable hose/faucet (as you see in Europe). The hot water tank mounted above the shower provides about 5 min of hot water, then you are history. There was one large worn towel and a bathmat that did not appear to have been cleaned in some time.
