Another quick visit to another popular Nigerian city – Lagos. This time we checked into the Southern Sun Hotel formerly known as Ikoyi Hotel. This hotel sits comfortably on the Kingsway Express Road but once you are inside you would never think that you are on such a busy road. The landscaped gardens within the grounds of the hotel plus the manicured lawns that surround the King palms on the main road, would make you believe temporarily that you are in California or Spain. The lobby area is grand and inviting and whilst you are being checked in, you are welcomed with a popular ‘Naija’ drink known as ‘Chapman’. Delicious!
Our room was on the seventh floor which gave us a great view across Lagos. The room was clean and luxurious. The bathroom consisted of a loo, sink and a shower but no bath.
