Stayed at the Sofitel for 5 nights in April. First time in Lagos, on business, and company who are very security concious, booked the hotel. The service, room cleanliness and general appearance of the Sofitel was better than I expected, although its local description as a 5 star is a joke. I was booked into the Sheraton but my company locally changed to the Sofitel due to the safe(?) location. I'm glad they did as it was only a short drive to some local bars with no hassles. Having previously had a good stay at the Moorhouse last year, I was thoroughly dissapointed by staff and services alike on this visit . Nice Hotel. However as anticipated experienced some problems. Mobile phone was stolen from my luggage, I guess there always will be bad eggs in an egg tray. Had to haggle over unused telephone bill and drinks in the room. otherwise experienced quite curteus staff. more
