I stayed here for 3 nights on business and had a luxury suite (not sure what the basic rooms were like but I wouldn't want to stay in one). The room was clean with good TV with a fair number of channels, bottles water and a mini bar (which the hotel will unlock for you on request). The hairdryer didn't... more

I stayed in the annex – it felt like someone had taken a jailhouse and quickly converted into a five star hotel in a week. There was no toilet seat (I don’t mean just the cover, I mean the whole seat) in my bathroom. You could see the moss behind the air condition vents and some spots in the closet.... more

I stayed in Eko Hotel for 3 weeks during a business trip to Nigeria. It is surely one of the best hotels in Lagos. Situated on Victoria Island, the hotel provides the guests with all amenities that one may look for. The outdoor pool is of a medium size. The Health Center is very well equipped and compares to the... more

My first room was above a noisy generator, which would have been far too loud to sleep in. After some usual Nigerian negotiation I got moved to a better room on the quiet side. They claimed to be fully booked for five minutes and unable to move me. Just stand your ground and they will. Unusually for Nigeria, there were... more

I had no real expectations , though I have visited many regions of Africa , so don't make unrealistic expectation, so when staying at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos I was most definitely suprised. The hotel is so spread out with restaurants, sports and leisure facitlities in acres of secure space. When staying for a while in a... more

We visited the Eko hotel as part of a business trip to Lagos. I read the reviews on this site and was preparing myself for not having a pleasant stay at all. I have to say however, that the service was good, the rooms were neat, clean and tastefully furnished. The hotel has satellite television and air conditioning in the... more

I have stayed at Eko three times, always in the tower in a refurbished room. These rooms are acceptable (not luxurious), clean and often have a view to the sea, i.e. the Bar beach. The hotel is constantly overbooked, so there are a couple of ways to deal with the front office. Firstly, don’t believe when they say that your... more

Folks, this is a hotel in Nigeria. Many of the bad reviews of this place seem to forget that. Despite massive oil wealth, the Nigerian private sector still struggles to raise the standard of their enterprises to a world class level. Also, this place is expensive, and you don't get value for money, but that is also the case pretty... more

On an international scale this hotel was not as high class as the price would reflect. On a local scale of hotel quality this could be classified as fours stars. The check-in to the hotel took almost 45 minutes with the credit card payment taking most of the time. Had to wait for the manager responsible for taking care of... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in July. We stayed in the Suites part which i am told has better rooms than the main hotel. The hotel and suites are one large complex. Room was fine, basic but clean (which given where we were i was surprised with). The aircon was the biggest problem - it was either freezing or off... more
