The room was clean (bedding / bathroom); there was a really great view of the river. The sound of rushing water was relaxing to me, but may be loud for others. It's centrally located and I found the staff pleasant (especially with my not so pleasant Espanol). Very close to the bus and train station. more

the pillows smelled worse than anything I have ever experienced. I absolutely loved Peru but this hotel was the low point. If you must stay there, bring your own bedding and pillows. more

We had this hotel for one night as part of our tour package. I didn't expect anything good, so my expectations were pretty low from the start. I knew what to expect in Peru... We arrived and no one met us on the train station as they were supposed to. We got to the hotel and they told us "sorry... more

the rooms were average, but the service was awful. My friend got terribly sick and they would not allow us to pay extra to stay in the room or get another room for a few hours until our train departed. They were quite rude about it. So we camped out in the lobby on the couches so she could sleep... more

Room was clean and quiet but shower always flooded the entire bathroom. Hotel is close to bus station and train station making it convenient to catch bus to Machu Picchu in the morning. There is no reason to stay in Aguas Calientes more than one night. more

Just like most travelers to MP, we stayed the night at this accomidation. It was close to the bus stop and restaurants, which is not unusual as everything is close as it's a small area. They met the train and we were able to hand off what luggage we were allowed to take with us on the ride so we... more

From my research into hotels in Aguas Calientes, I was prepared for the Presidente to be not very nice. However, we were pleasantly surprised. There is nothing fancy about the hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, and we received good service. The location also proved to be excellent. We were met at the station by a very helpful man who... more

I didn't really enjoy this hotel but only because we were given a room on the main level by the common area and there was construction on the other side of our wall. I'm sure once the construction is completed it wouldn't be as bad but I also found that with the echoing it was very loud in our room... more

We stayed at the Hotel Presidente for 3 nights in May. We initially planned to spend only one night there and 3 in Cusco, but due to a strike we had to get into A.C. by Monday night because the trains and roads were going to be blocked all day Tuesday and Wednesday due to a strike. This turned out... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night during a tour of Peru. The hotel is situated close to the central square and convenient for both the train station and the buses to Machu Piccu. It is about a 15-minute walk uphill to the hot springs, which are definitely worth a visit. Our room was very clean and had a... more
