We stayed in a triple room for 2 nights here in October. It was $85/night which included a bed, hot water, and a very basic breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful - even met us at the train station - but they do not understand English. Breakfast was bread, jam, butter, ham, coffee, juice. We wanted to be... more

Stayed one night. Booked this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews (which normally lead us to totally acceptable, if not excellent options). I am really surprised this ranked highly. - Hotel is teeming with small biting insects. They're all over Machu Pichu, and in other places in Aguas Calientes, but this place was the worst in AC. The hotel decorates with... more

Wiracocha Inn, seemed from appearance to be one of the better hotels in Aguas Calientes, without getting into the ridiculous amounts of money category. We were very happy with what our $50 for a twin room got us. The room was clean and tidy. It overlooked the river (though not all rooms do - we had the room on the... more

As others have said clean, simple, and a good shower! I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with the room and the Inn in general. The staff was great, and having the river just out the window was really great. Ah and the bug bites... keep the window closed after dark, they are some little fly, nasty buggers ate... more

The people were nice and the rooms appeared clean. But when I awoke the next morning, I had about 8 bits on my arms. They still itch, red and are swollen today. They were not mosquito bits. I'm not sure what they are. Breakfast good. more

What the other reviews say - they packed a surprisingly substantial bag lunch that kept us going for our morning exploring Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu. Friendly, helpful, and reliable, but don't expect any luxuries. more

We stayed at Wiracocha Inn for one night, the room was clean, no frills, and the staff was friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze, and they also provided baggage storage and bagged lunches when we went up to Machu Picchu the following morning. The room itself was a little pricey, but that's because they ran out of normal... more

Aguas Calientes isn't exactly a fabulous destination or anything, but it's a necessary and not totally terrible stop on the way to Machu Picchu. We were picked up right at the train station, taken on the walk to the hotel, and put right up in our room. We were way early in the day, so it was great they had... more

There might be more expensive, nicer looking inns in Aguas Calientes, but if you're just there for a night, the Wiracocha Inn is worth it. The town itself is an eyesore and there are definitely worse-looking inns. Wiracocha Inn is clean, rooms are spacious. Had problems with the hot water but the staff was friendly and helpful. They fixed the... more
