My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at this attractive and unpretentious little hotel located just north of Huaraz. Our visit was a homecoming of sorts, as we had stayed at El Patio many times in the mid-90s. We were pleasantly surprised when the owners and head waiter remembered us well after so long a time. The entire staff was welcoming and most helpful throughout our stay, offering special attention to a traveling companion who was a bit under the weather on one of our days.

The attractive bungalows and comfortable rooms surround a spacious patio with walkways leading into well attended little flower gardens and additional rooms. Its easy to find quiet places to sit and read or to just “chill out” in the crystal clear air of this beautiful high Andean village.
