We stayed at this hotel during our tour of Peru in June. I would describe it as being on a par with Haven/Butlins as it caters exclusively for children. The room was extremely basic and there was not hot water to be had. more

This place is supposed to be the nicest resort in the area. It is a 15 minute drive to Quacachina...the dessert Oasis. And another ten minute drive into town. My wife and I arrived at the bus station in Ica with no idea where we would stay. Las Dunas was recommended by the station security guard and we thought it was great. We ended up staying at the Hotel Las Dunas as part of a trip to see the Nazca lines during our three week stay in Peru. Unfortunately the available accommodation was sadly lacking so we were assured by our travel agent that this was the best we could expect in Ica. I dread to think what the worst was like.... more

A great place to stay if you are flying over the Nazca Lines, as the Ica airport is next door. After travelling over miles of desert, this place is a very welcoming sight. Bring your bathers – they have a great pool area. For the more adventurous, try climbing the sandhill next door. Good food and service in relaxing surroundings. more

This was astrange experience. The resort and its surroudings are fantastic burt one gets the impression the money ran out when they got to the interiors. We stayed here for three nights in order to relax by the pool, take a flight over the Nasca lines, visit Ica, the Ballestas Islands and Paracas national reserve.
