On arriving in Hikkaduwa we promptly found the Moon Beam Hotel after recieving recomendations and it lived up to our expectations.Good size room with air con clean bathroom. Great location with the surf break pretty much out front. The breakfast where good, but selection of evening meals could have been better. more

Hotel Moon Beam is a great hotel right in the middle of happening Hikkaduwa. One piece of advice though, go for the aircon room as the fan rooms can get pretty hot if you're not used to it. We read many reviews about this restaurant before we tried it and were really disappointed. The service is good and the location and ambience is great - in fact, it's really one of the nicest places on the beach. However, the food really lets the place down and it's actually quite pricy compared to the other restaurants. more

Good Location on beach and nice gardens but rooms dark damp and smelly. Clean and ok staff but constant damp smell in both rooms we had. Maybe air con rooms ok. more
