We spent two nights here in a junior suite. The room and views were lovely and the staff attentive. The hotel does cater for groups so the bar and dining areas can get noisy and indeed the bar area is a little small so when groups are in it can be difficult. We found the dining area bland and very... More

We stayed for 2 night at Amaya Hills resort, location & food was amazing BUT rooms were very basic although we have booked Superior room, the toilet was old, rusted in fact we were disappointed ! Its far from the town of Kandy, you definitely need a transportation all the time to get to the hotel. As said earlier, food... More

This is a very nice in the hills above Kandy. Excellent views. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the centre of Kandy so this may be a disadvantage for some. The rooms are well designed and the overall service in the hotel is good. Breakfast is excellent. More

We stayed one night here after visiting Kandy. Hotel is very high up, hence the name! Long winding road up to the hotel which was an experience in itself. The hotel is quite old or rather the small rooms are. Reception is impressive as the views are amazing, which is also the case from the pool area. Spa was decent.... More

We love Kandy and always enjoy staying at the Amaya Hills. As others have said on this site the views are stunning. It is also a good place to go early in your stay in Sri Lanka if you have just come from a European winter location. It's about 2000 feet up and therefore a little cooler than many other... More

The rooms were nice but seemed to have a Mexican theme. Bathrooms were slightly too small. Shame about the billiard room closing so early. More

We stayed 3 nights and the poor service began to irritate. We had the best room (2 level suite 207-8) which was cosy with good decor but minute shower and bath. Ayurvedic spa was basic but good quality, the pool too chilly for the kids, breakfast and buffet good but otherwise food not up to the standard of other top... More

We had a great 2 night stay at Amaya Hills. The journey up was quite slow due to the roads being washed away by recent floods, but once there it was worth the drive! Views were stunning, the pool was nice and clean and the rooms were comfortable also. Meals were also excellent with a good variety of traditional Sinhalese... More
