Felt compelled to write this review after experiencing and witnessing Rodney first hand. We didnt do our homework on Rodney and only wish we had. Do the search, read the forums. We also met Rodney in Colombo, and went with him to his guest house. Stunning views from the balcony, the staff are fantastic cooks, we had some very nice food there.Rodney will try to take over your holiday, offering to organize trips where ever you wish, and will keep trying to push you into his trips and days out. This budget hotel in Kandy is quite simply a superb place to be based if you have any intention of seeing Sri Lanka properly. The guest house itself is clean, unpretentious and located just a 5 minute (free) taxi ride from the centre of Kandy. The staff and cook are world class. We meet this guy at Colombo Rail Station, very nice and helpfull. His guest house is very good located but the first evening one of his employee went in our room zhile we were outside, hopefully we had all with us.
