Sarath is an absolute gentleman and a magnificent host. We booked the penthouse suite and had a lovely night time view of the temple of the tooth from our private balcony. Would heartily recommend the freedom lodge.

Freedom is a comfortable stay with a very lovely family willing to assist with any request. The room aren't flashy but really comfortable. The breakfasts are great. The location is good and would recommend staying here while in Kandy. I would not give Kandy more than 1-2 days stay - much nicer places in Sri Lanka!!
