This was a nice stay. Fairly clean room and bath. Hot shower was good. We had a small balcony in the back and a ceiling fan. Small tears in the screens were worrisome b/c of mosquitoes. I wished we hadn`t stayed here! Especially when we saw other twin rooms being advertised in the town for around $25 a night! Our room was small, dank and very very dark. We have stayed at Casa Max a number of times over the years and love returning. You simply won't find a nicer place in Bocas del Toro. Stayed here the week before Christmas. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the owners very accommodating. Would not hesitate to stay here again at all. My only complaint would be the bathrooms are pretty small and a little tired but for $30 odd/night I wasn't expecting the 4 Seasons and know that I was in Central America after all.... more

I stayed there probably 4 years ago, loved the balcony overlooking the water. Very nice wood works, very caribbean. The only down point was the materass, too thin. Otherwise, gret place! more
