In January 2008 my wife and met the Strouwen family by coincidence, and we had a couple of very nice trips together. In October I simply had to go back to Bocas for the 6th time, to enjoy nature and wildlife again. This time I stayed for a week together with a friend who is also very interested in nature.... more
If you want to have a relaxing stay in Bocas del Toro, this is the place to stay. The wooden house annexed-guestroom is situated in the middle of nature. From the porch you can watch the birds taking a refreshing dive in the pond whilst butterflies hover from flower to flower, or, simply enjoy the orchids growing on the trees... more
Absolutely go here. It is the people (the family) who make it great. We were getting to Bocas couple days before New Year without any reservations, and everything in the town was sold out. Luckily someone advised us of this out-of-the-way B+B. Although it involves a short boat ride to get to, it is well worth it for the experience.... more
