beds were comfortable and rooms clean,good a/c and lighting. very noisy.Noise from bar across the street from 11pm til 3am. Rooms 206 &208 are next to dishwashing kitchen, so that noise starts at 7am. even rooms face side street, odd face wall of hotel next door. Reception consistently unfriendly, behind bars feels like a flop house.

I think this is a good place in case you want to be in the center, they have a nice restaurant And it is the oldest construction in town really close to bike rentals wich is the best way to travel through town rent it with a chain It is not beach font but does have a view

we checked in with no problem, staff is semi-friendly. they offer breakfast included with hotel stay, but only for 2 hours (7-9am): coffee, milk, cereal, fruit, ham/cheese, toast. We stayed in both an upstairs ( renovated) and downstairs ( unrenovated) room. Downstairs room was dark and musty. It also had a weird air fresher thing that would spray stuff periodically. Just returned from a quick business trip to Bocas and had the good fortune to stay at the Gran Bahia Hotel. The owner Tito is a real class act. The hotel is very well maintained. This is a very charming historic property. The building dates back to 1905, original Bocas headquarters of United Fruit Company.
