We arrived to Mumbai and we took a taxi, metering fare one, as there isn´t a pre-paid taxi counter in domestic airport, which result for us to be ripped off because the take you direct to all the traffic jams of the city in order to increase meters and pay double, I almost have a fight with the driver, because... more

This is a newly renovated hotel in a convenient location. Although having booked a double room, on arrival we were showed a selection of rooms and the so-called double room was really one king-single bed. It was OK though because we had the choice of a room with two single beds pushed together - which was quite comfortable. The rooms... more

Have stayed at the Residency Hotel twice this year, both times in their next-door annexe. Nice comfortable room, larger than one would expect for this price in Mumbai. Great staff, always helpful and friendly. Convenient location in the heart of Fort, close to good shopping and restaurants. Hotel is within walking distance of CST railway station (i.e. V.T.) and a... more

I stayed at the Residency Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent, between CST and Churchgate railway stations, both of which are in walking distance. The hotel was reasonably clean and, unusual for an Indian hotel, the pillows were soft. The room had wireless internet, though I didn't use it. The TV had quite a few English language stations,... more

The hotel´s location is great. It´s very central. There´s good restaurants nearby. The rooms are well furnished, clean and comfortable. There´s a free Internet access in the lobby. The only problem is that we ask them to arrange a pick up from the airport, but nobody was waiting for us. more

Excellent location, very central and within walking distance to great restuarants and the gateway to India. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and great value for money. I definitley would recommend this hotel. We booked for 2 nights at the beginning of our stay in India and then re booked for our last night. I would... more

I stayed at the Residency earlier this year (and also twice in 2005). It's great value for money, in the middle of Mumbai (which has a whole lot of dives, plus a lot of five star hotels - and not much in between). A room for two cost 2200 rupees. The hotel also has a few rooms in a block... more

Read a number of reviews of different hotels in Mumbai before booking this one. Very happy with my choice and stayed here for 3 nights before a tour around Southern India and one night after. Location is great - very near Victoria Terminus and not to far from the sights of Colaba including Gateway of India. Pleased I stayed iin... more

Stayed at the Residency for a night in January before getting a train to Kerala and again in March before flying home. We also stayed there in 2007. Hotel is 5 minutes by cab or 15 minutes walk from Churchgate or CST station. 50 to 90 minutesto the airport. Small smart reception with free Internet access for less than 30... more

We stayed here twice for a total of 5 nights, on arrival in Mumbai and again before we went home and were very satisfied with our rooms, the service (professional and friendly) and location of the hotel. Less than 10 minutes walk to VT/CST, 15 minutes walk to Marine Drive, 15 minutes walk to Colaba and a lot less hassle... more
