I was extremely disappointed when I checked in. The lobby seemed adequate, but the rooms were disgusting! The problem is that this hotel is advertised on multiple websites with pictures of comfy rooms and an upscale image and a 5 star rating. NOT SO. It should be downgraded to a 2 star. Likes: Hotel very clean and palatial. Rooms clean and spacious. Very similar to Crowne Plaza hotel. Hot water 24/7. Right on the beach. Citibank ATM right across the street. Tulip Star should be down graded to 3 or 4 stars. I have previously stayed in the hotel twice. But it was a real shock this time. I stayed in the deluxe room - most expensive on the 6th floor. I had the misfortune of staying in tulip star hotel during a 15 hour layover in Mumbai. The hotel used to be the previous Centaur which was indeed a 5 star property 25 years ago.
