The quality, the over all hotel service and the behavior of hotel staff was excellent.
Apparently Bombays Hotel trade is on its knees since the terrorist attacks last year and its surprising that despite this getting a good deal and value hotel is really difficult. Hotels in Bombay all seem vastly overpriced and we plumped for the Golden Manor - the self-styled 'best 3 star hotel in Bombay'.

Given the ludicrously high prices of 4 and 5 star hotels in India, there is a huge demand for decent 3*. This example is a perfectly decent effort with a nice pool, friendly, helpful staff and a good pickup service to the airport. Bit it IS pretty basic, with fairly hard beds. Not on my list of ideal romantic hotels...

Golden Manor has a wonderful location, on the famous Juhu Beach in Mumbai and close to some decent restaurants and 5-star hotels. The rooms are OK and better than what some other hotels rip-off at that price, given the room-shortage in India at this time.
They have a nice swimming pool and gym and the food is quite good. Service...
