Nice welcome, the hotel is a small oasis situated in a moslem neighbourhood which was a bit seedy but interesting. A heritage hotel, our rooms was clean and comfortable with aircon (noisy) and fan and pleasantly decorated. We shared a small terrace with friends, ideal for early morning tea! Rooftop restaurant was good and reasonable. The rooftop had wonderful views... more

The hotel Bissau Palace is just outside the centre of Jaipur which means you can escape the madness and noise of the town. It is stunningly decorated and a beutiful building which gives it a feeling of luxury despite it's cheap price tag. We had the cheapest rooms which were spacious and had comfortable beds. We were travelling as a... more

I knew what to expect from previous tours to India and I am OK with this hotel for a couple of days. But I would not like to stay for more. The staff and food was fine but the room we had, really needed some painting etc. The AC was terrible and very noisy. We did have a TV set... more

We were in two rooms in a side building. The rooms were dark but there were some touches such as floor pillows and cloth used to decorate the rooms. Immediately outside our rooms were some lovely murals. Both rooms only had cold water for the duration of our stay. I can handle this however washing my hair in the cold... more

I did a group tour of India this summer, and we all really enjoyed this hotel. Pulling up into the driveway was like heaven after our long, hot drive. The irritating smells and sights of India disappeared. The grounds are gorgeous... gardens, flowers, peaceful, pristine pool, friendly staff. The rooms were a bit awkward in their design - they didn't... more

We found this a nice place to stay. We didn't have a room in the original palace but in a building just aside of it. The room was well decorated with paintings. It wasn't like a real palace room but it was a good room nevertheless. The rooms were clean, hot shower. The original palace looks very nice, with old... more

We were initially offered a standard room that was simple, plain and dark. Instead we took one of the best suites in the place that worked out around £75 per night. The room was simply incredible - fountain in the room, marble floors, huge bathroom, decor was Raj Splendour at its best (though perhaps a tiny bit faded) - very... more

Wonderful decoration and the rooms really gives you a good feeling, with a touch of Palace! Hotel has a great pool and a wonderful rooftop restaurant. The rooms are clean and... more

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid Tour in India (North India Hightlights -- a comfort tour). The property is a heritage property in India, and really is an Maharaja's palace. That said, it makes a good impression when you first get there. The Courtyard and restaurant are beautifully decorated. Our room, on the second floor with a small... more

Rajasthan is full of grand old ruins and this is one of them. Dirty and noisy as Jaipur is, the last leg of the journey to the hotel was like a chaotic white knuckle ride for about 500 yards in which there were cars, motorbikes, cows, rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, cyclists and pedestrians moving in all possible directions of the increasingly narrow... more
