Although you try hard, it is difficult to find a good side of our (luckily) short stay at the Mandawa Haveli. First, the guys at the reception seemed quite surprised about our arrival (we had booked through a travel agent). So they gave us some kind of "last minute room" overlooking the inner courtyard, with no windows. After our complaint... more

Stayed for 2 nights in this very ordinary hotel. It has a swimming pool to die for which is probably what will happen to you if you use it. It is a pigeon bird bath and they were the only things we saw in it during our stay. Problems with water supply in the room not really satisfactorily resolved. Room... more

Mandawa Haveli Jaipur We stayed at Mandawa Haveli in Jaipur in December 07 for three nights and found this hotel to be average. On the positive side it was OK, clean, hot water for showers available, not a bad location close to the old city. Our clothes came back intact from the laundry service although some items had got muddled... more

My husband and I (both in our mid 20's) stayed at Hotel Mandawa for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. If you are driving from Delhi, the trip can be anywhere from 5-8 hours depending on weather and traffic. The hotel is an old castle located in the heart of Jaipur. Do a simple search of the hotel to get... more

I had booked the hotel through expedia. We arrived at the hotel on Saturday night to stay for one night and we were told they were full. Apparently this had happened to other guests on the previous week. They seem not to communicate with websites such expedia and hotels.com and these make bookings on false availability. We were left almost... more

Mandali Haveli is located in the centre of the village. It was built in the 18th century. It is a traditional haveli built by Mawari traders. Several generations of the family lived together in such huge premises that comprise of an outer courtyard leading to a cool inner courtyard. Around this inner courtyard three galleries with rooms are present with... more

I would advise anyone going to Jaipur that staying at a haveli, or a converted heritage house, is definitely the way to go. And of the nine places I stayed at during my three weeks in India, this one definitely rates as the best value for money. I arrived in Jaipur at night with no hotel booked, so I was... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in April. The room was ok, and the bathroom was quite large and recently decorated, so we were pleased with that. The ambience of the place is the main attraction. Also its far enough from the PInk city and yet accessible enough for a 5 min auto-rickshaw ride. Breakfast was a good selection of... more

Stayed at the Mandawa for two nights on the golden triangle tour. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms were very nice, with good clean bathroom.( didn't go round the pool area). The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, but not outstanding!. The view of the Amber Fort from the roof of the hotel at night is amazing!!... more

The hotel is pretty run down, compared to Alsisar Haveli which is right on the opposite side and done well- we stayed there a night, as well. The breakfast buffet in Mandawa is pathetic and the rooms are very very basic. Its ok if you hardly plan to be in the hotel..you wouln't even want to look at the pool..its... more
