I will start by saying that there is nothing wrong with this hotel, so if you are booked here as part of a tour, don't despair. It is clean, has central A/C, and the staff are generally helpful. And, they have solved the pigeon problem mentioned in some earlier reviews (netting covering the windows). That being said, I do not... more

This hotel should NOT be considered 5 Star. The room was ok, but the bathroom was dated. We requested an extra room in the bed upon check in and came back at 11pm to find it still had not been delivered. There is a ledge on the window with pigeon poop. The breakfast buffet was not very enticing. Staff was... more

I recently attended a conference held in this hotel. During my stay I found the Reception Desk staff unfriendly and not very helpful. Breakfast choice was extremely disappointing and clearing dishes from tables after one had finished with them was virtually a non-event - you had to regularly lift them yourself and set them on another table. My bedroom and... more

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago. At that time, the hotel was pretty decent by American standards (except for some Oberoi hotels 5-star hotels in India are probably closer to 4 stars in America: subtract a star to get the equivalent). Overall, the hotel had been upgraded to a better standard and the rooms were much nicer. In... more

The hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and rude. The hotel was advertised as being three km from the airport but the hotel rate for their taxis were five times any taxi that you could get on the street. There was only one English speaking channel (a news/advertising station). Also, the room service was more expensive than the Oberoi (a luxury... more

i stayed there in january 2007, its really a nice hotel far from the hustle & bustle of the main tourist centre and good place to relax after hectic tour, i found everythingood of this hotel except the pigeon problem, food was also really nice & its close to newly developed city centre, where one can try local cheap food. more

This hotel was one of three I stayed in as part of an expensive Golden Triangle Tour I purchased on the internet through the Delhi -based travel agency Diplomatic Holiday, a company I would never conduct business with ever again. Although rated as a 5 star property and although it is no better than a standard North American Holiday Inn... more

The 2nd hotel on our Golden Triangle trip. Would have been a grand hotel in its day, but in need of refurbishment now, but we found the staff attentive and freindly. They certainly have a serious pigeon problem at this hotel, but we solved our problem of them resting outside on our window sill by placing the room flower bowl... more

My wife and I stayed at Clark's Amer Hotel from August 7 to 10. Our room 717 in the middle of the building was freezing cold and suffused with the smell of pigeon droppings which stings the upper nose like powdery attic dust mixed with smoke from burning hemp. The windows are recessed about two feet (see photo), affording all-night... more
