we stayed in the royal delux room, and it was very beautifully done, felt as if we were living in some palace. on one hand, the hotel has a complete heritage feel while on the other hand, it has the most modern amenities available. whether it was the lobby, or the lounge outside the room, or their bar cum restaurant... more

It was an excellent experience. The buliding has been tastefully decorated with traditional rajasthani crafts. The breakfast at rooftop was lovely with decent options. All in all, worth every penny! more

The hotel is beautiful. Fascilities room size & decoration of the rooms excellant. Attached bath can easily compete with 5* hotels. Very modertately priced. Staff helpful. A little improvement needed on the service at the rooftop restaurant. Also if the pool could be slightly heated. My little daughter4 visited India first time & she remembers the swimming pool at the... more

We arrived at the hotel quite late in the evening and were pleased to find such an elegant room in a quiet part of town. Our room was done up in a stately fashion, with chandeliers and nice bedcovers. The bathroom had marble floors and an amazing shower. There was also a separate area to keep our luggage and use... more

We stayed at this hotel for three days in November as part of a tour of Delhi, Jaipur Jodhpur and Udaipur. This was clearly the best hotel we stayed at. It is located a little outside of the centre which is not a problem. The rooms were stunning and clean. The bathrooms were modern. Breakfast was simple but wonderful on... more

Hotel was fine. Nothing to jump at. The beds were a bit too firm for our taste. We asked for extra pillows. They never came. Called again, never came. Asked to exchange money, had to wait until morning. Finally got pillows the next day. Not the most convenient of locations. This will probably be the only review i leave from... more

We (4) stayed 2 nights in the hotel. Great rooms, very good food, lovely atmosphere. The rooftop resaurant had nightly entertainment while we had dinner. We wre booked in through The Best India Tours, Delhi and this was just one more of the great hotels they got for us. Mick Burke Scotland more

We stayed here for one night as part of our Golden Triangle tour. The hotel is a little hidden away down a sidestreet but really stands out once you arrive. It has been styled in the manner of a heritage palace, with striking features and ornate furnishings. The outside of the building really stands out with lots of detail surrounding... more

We stayed at the Umaid Mahal because we wanted to stay in a heritage style property rather than one of those formal, corporate chain hotels. As such, the Umaid Mahal fits the bill, though I don't think it's a true heritage hotel, but rather one made to look like one. So if it's authenticity you want, this is not for... more
