First of all I question Tripadvisors wisdom to put this hotel under this heading & not under "hotels". At Darjeeling, We stayed at Hotel Cedar Inn. Hotel Cedar inn is on top of the hills, 15 mins walk from St. Pauls school (of SRK’s “Main Hoon Na” fame). The Cedar Inn offers the most splendid perch in the Darjeeling Hills. Cedar Inn is located right on top of Darjeeling and offers a splendid view of Kanchendzonga (obviously only on a clear day) right from the room. During our stay, the night time temperature went well below freezing. However, on arrival after a day's travelling, there was no hot water for showers. The Cedar Inn is a good base for exploring Darjeeling. We got a deal for £51 for half board,which seems a bit steep but was worth it as it is situated up a hill so once you come back for the evening you don't feel like going out again, plus the food was really tasty and filling. We went in... more

Stayed at the ‘Cedar Inn’ Darjeeling for 6 nights in March 2005. TRAVEL TO DARJEELING Would recommend arranging transport through the hotel from Bagdogra airport or Siliguri, as you need an experienced mountain driver for the 7500ft climb to Darjeeling.
