This hotel is clean and staff was very friendly. We had a lovely room on the third floor with the view of the market, mountains and clock tower. Restaurant staff was attentive and friendly; food was good and staff provided great service. We had a lovely stay for two nights, I would recommend this place.

Located close to the Mall Road, the Hotel however doesn't live up to its promise. It is a part of the luxury segment. But the rooms are far from luxurious. There is no play area for the kids. Food is just about average.

We planned to stay 4 nights but decided to leave earlier. Upon checking in I looked at the bedsheets and asked the housekeeper to come and change them. I would say : quite disgraceful. The Viceroy hotel justifies its rating. It is in a prime location a short walk from the town centre and main shopping areas , and near to the Taxi ranks. a lovely hotel... gives an english feeling ... in the heart of darjeeling.. close to everything.. super sundeck to get the heat.. lovely place to stay in for a couple of days.... good room service.. pool table to play but is charged so not worth it.. but over all 9/10.. the food is super amazing... lovely buffet everyday...!!!!

This is a good property with some good view. However please be carefull when you book, that you are not allocated one of the dingy rooms with no view. We were allocated one such room. The Hotel is located right infront of the clock tower. I took a package with them which covered everything except my flight cost. I was lucky as got upgraded to one of their king suits and room was quite spacious. Food is average. service staff is good rooms are good in the top floor the sun deck is the best.... More
