As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel section is closed as rooms are being totally rebuilt. The result is that any reviews written previously are likely to be entirely misleading once the hotel reopens. During renovation the bar etc still operates.

Well, this place is full of childhood memories, otherwise I wouldn't stay here. Its expensive - simple as that. Its got an amazing location, central to most places of interests for a business traveler. The food is good & so is the ambiance. And its close to most shopping areas. Astor will remain a sentimental favorite.
