“Great place to stay in Birmingham”

The staff is excellent and recognizes you by name. The hotel has a hip edgy feel and the hotel is conveniently located near area businesses. Best of all it is only about 15 minutes away from the airport.

“First class spot”

The hotel is very new and modern. It is my preferred place to stay in Birmingham, although it is just a few blocks off the main drag. The lobby bar is very well designed and a good place to get a drink after a long day of work.

“Friendly, Clean, Well-Located & Dorm-like”

“Good location”

All of the ALoft hotels I've stayed in have the same. There are no surprises for me as I enjoy the layout. What I like best about this one is its location. There are plenty of dining options with walking distance which something I like!

“Very unique”

I loved this hotel. Only thing is they say the rooms are sound proof? Nope. I'm laying awake at midnight listening to very loud voices from outside it seems ( we are on 4th floor) and loud laughter. I would like to get some sleep tonight!

“Paper thin walls”

Stayed here for 4 days. The lobby and first floor of the hotel is trendy and chic. Wasn't crazy about the restaurant (Michaels) thats connected. “Good but needs some management”

Have stayed at this property on two occasions. Very friendly staff, nice rooms (stains on the carpets), great restaurant that is connected and great little diner around corner (Salem's). Hallways always dirty on 4th floor, housekeeping needs improvement. Will return but should have someone checking property daily, broken computer in lobby, etc. Fix or get new one.

“Stayed For a Wedding”

I stayed at the Aloft with 3 friends when we were in Birmingham for a wedding. The location and proximity to Birmingham young-adult friendly bars was great, and the accommodations were fine. We weren't picky travelers, but I would recommend the hotel to others passing through Birmingham.

“Nice enough, but lighting is annoying”

This hotel is not on the luxurious side, but is comfortably basic, EXCEPT for the room lighting. There are two lights over the bed, and they are operated by one switch. It is two on or none on.
