When I arrived in Huntsville, I went to the wrong LaQuinta first -- there are 2 very close to each other with just a couple of business in between. Once I got to the correct hotel, checkin went pretty well. This hotel has all outside entrances to the rooms. The layout is a little odd, which at times made it... more

I saw ad in Alabama Welcome Center for a $29 room on Sunday ( $39 M - Sat ). I arrived at 10 AM hoping to spend day by pool. Receptionist (later found out she was the manager on duty ) refused to check me in before 3 PM, said, "computer would not allow to book in before 3 PM... more

I stayed here because everything else was booked in Huntsville. If you want to stay here call the hotel directly and ask to make a reservation tell them you want to spend $40 a night and no more if they give you that rate maybe it would be ok. Hotel is old old old and showing its age. Not in... more

Room smelled so bad and strong that when I came back home all my clothes smelled as a hotel room. I do not think they ever clean bathroom. I was given my baby a bath the night we checked in and it was full of hair. Other hair..... I had to go to pharmacy and get a can of Lysol... more

Complete rathole. 1st room smelled of mold so bad I had to move. I'm not hard to please, and for a two night business trip I can take just about anythign, but this was too much. I went back downstairs past the random groups of people hanging around and asked for another room. The front desk obliged, but told me"you... more

We thought this hotel was just fine. It is a two star hotel so you can't expect too much. Our room did not have any odor problems. I thought the room was large enough and the AC worked great. There are some resturants nearby. Generally safe location. Pool is small, but it worked for taking a dip with the kids.... more

My experience at this hotel is why I don't stay at 2-star hotels. My room was extremely stuffy and smelled moldy. So I switched rooms. The second room was worse. I gave up when I switched to a THIRD room, and it was also stuffy and smelled moldy. At least the front desk receptionist was very nice and professional. Don't... more

I like everything about my stay except for the wierd shower. The room had been remodeled, so there was a new liner placed over the old bathtub which was like being in a balloon. Also, made me have to squat in order to get under the showerhead. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. more

Stayed on July 29, 2004. Clean hotel, friendly staff, good size pool, easy to find, about a 5 minute drive to the Space Center, good value for the price. Breakfast was free--just your basic continental cold stuff. I would stay there again. more
