We stayed at The Orange House in December 2007 for five nights. The trip to Goa (from Cochin) wound up taking us almost a day, as we had not factored a pilgrimage that was taking place into our travel plans, and thus were shuttled about from train to bus to taxi to bus to taxi - until we reached Anjuna.

LOCATION: The Orange House is about a 30-minute taxi ride from the main bus station in Anjuna. It is a 20-minute walk from the beach, and in a fairly quiet part of the town. As there were four of us we felt safe going there and walking to and from the hotel, but if I travelled alone/with only one other girlfriend I probably would find somewhere more central, as it is a bit too quiet/isolated.

PRICE: We booked two twin rooms online via their website (there were four of us girls travelling). The rooms cost us the equivalent of $6 each/night (price per person). So as it was, we weren't expecting the Taj - but we got a lot more than we anticipated.
