We arrived very late in Melaka after 13 hours on busses and boats and were really exhausted, hungry and thirsty. Taking advantage of our state the people at Discovery told us, that there were no more free beds in the dorm and no more free fan rooms and they could only give us an A/C room for RM 50. We've never payed that much for a room in the whole last year of travelling, but being to tired to go and look for another place in the dark and after they promised us we could change to a cheaper room (RM 30) the next day, we decided to treat ourselves to a more expensive and therefore surely a nice room. What we got was a very simple and small room with a window only going to the indoor staircase and with shared bathroom (only one toilet for the whole floor!). And that for RM 50?!?!

Later that night we met another traveller who stayed at Discovery and heard from him, that he's sleeping in the dorm room and that there were still 6 beds free in there!
