I checked in here due to it sounding unique from the Lonely Planet review and I'm glad I did. I stayed for 3 nights in Melaka at Emily's and really enjoyed the stay. The room was simple but pretty: no AC but a decent ceiling fan so wasn't too warm at night at all. As other reviewer's have said, the... More

Emily`s guesthouse really was a great rest bite for both of us. Situated in the heart of the city Malik has transformed this house into a tranquill hide away from the hustle of Malaka. Most of the building and its contents have been crafted out of recycled and salvaged goods and Malik takes huge pride in crafting most of this.... More

We arrived at Emily's from Singapura to continue our travel for terrible Dumai.During all the nxt nites we regretted the beautiful and quiet atmosphere of Emily's...we found it a very special place for relaxing and recovering. The whole place is handmade by the owner ,and this gives a unique appeal to the place

loved hanging out here for a few days! basic clean rooms but with the best garden. The owner Mally was friendly, chatty, helpful and funny! Would recommend this to any traveller more interested in the atmosphere and surroundings than AC and concrete walls... hammocks to chill in, jungle showers.. great!

The Guesthouse (not bad) It was not because of the guesthouse itself, which is not bad. It has a nice little garden and undercover communal area. The wooden building is ok and fairly clean. There are a couple of quite nice ‘cottages’ as well, though they appear rather lacking in privacy and a bit cramped. It is however on a... More

Without Emily Travellers Home our trip to Melaka wouldn't have been nearly as good. The ponds and greenery were so peaceful and enchanting compared to the chaos outside. And the bunny hopping around just added to it. The communal area was great with free tea/coffee/drinking water. As a couple we had a cottage with a double bed, private bathroom and... More

We stayed there two nights with my friends (we were 6) and we spend a wonderful time, the guest house is very cheap, and it is located at only 5 minuts walk from the historical center. The host is very nice and silenceshould be observed after 10pm. We could visit all the city just by walking, (we didn't need to... More

Emily's is the most relaxing guesthouse you can find in all of Malaysia. The guesthouse has a beautiful garden with a bunny hopping around, a pond with fish swiming in it and the most chill-out common area we've seen in all of asia. The staff is super friendly and you'll feel at home the minute you'll step in. The rooms... More

I stayed here for a few nights. Sure, the facilities are basic, but they are clean and quite adequate. The doors remain locked which means you and your valuables are safe. The hosts are very friendly and make you feel at home. I had a wonderful time there. If you want luxury, then, sure, pay a lot of money, but... More
