PG (PG and Colin are the hosts/owners of the place) was so lovely - when I booked with her online, she'd already advised us on a good place where I could park the car once i came (a short distance from the building). Unfortunately, we missed the carpark and decided to unload the luggage first. Upon realising that we'd just... more

Cafe 1511 is a fantastic find in Melaka. It's right in the heart of Chinatown. The guesthouse itself is the servants' quarters of what is now the Baba Nonya museum so you get a real sense of staying in a historical building. It's interesting to do the tour of the Baba Nonya museum to see the similarities between the 2... more

On arriving (late) we were whisked away by Colin to a special Tandoori cafe. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the Heritage area and a brand new Fish Spa has opened next door - if you haven't tried this it's a must... The rooms were incredibly clean, as were the bathroom facilities. The airconditioning was fantastic and... more

De B&B is a gem with only four rooms (and three bathrooms). Nice art on the walls. Colin can advise you on things to see... more

I'll go back to Cafe 1511 if I ever get the chance : excellent. The facilities are adequate, though not superior (can't be helped in view of the building limitations in an old property like this). The only major problem is the street noise, esp. for those staying in one of the main rooms : one would hope that all... more

My wife and I stayed a total of five nights at this fine place in August. Our room was very pleasant, the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful and the food downstairs was delicious. This place is in the heart of historic Melaka, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. The bathrooms are shared, but are sparkling clean.... more
