My husband and I stayed in one of the "historic" rooms from 11/5/09 to 11/8/09 on our honeymoon. When I reserved the room over the telephone, I was told that we would be staying in The Red Room. He said it was one of the most popular rooms and that it was comparable in appointment/beauty to the first picture shown... more

We stayed here for the weekend of Bayfest 2009 and found it to be perfect for walking to downtown Mobile for Bayfest. We had a 2nd floor corner unit with 2 windows, lots of outside light,1 window had a view of downtown Mobile and the other had a view of the Convention Center. The room was huge with 2 Queen beds and antique... more

Our stay at this charming bed and breakfast located in downtown Mobile was wonderful. The historic buildings and the period furnishings were beautiful: high ceilings, balconies, a lovely courtyard with fountain, outdoor swimming pool, and soft comfortable beds. We ate fresh, hot waffles each morning. If you are looking for the run of the mill chain hotel room, this is... more

Recommended by friends took a chance even though reviews were mixed. Turned out to be a bad choice. More expensive than other "nicer" hotels I have stayed at in area. Old, very musty smelling, capret dirty and needed to be replaced. Quain is nice but old and shabby is not. more

We stayed here for 3 days for a girls getaway and LOVED it! We had a charming “historic” room in the main house with a small side balcony (perfect for happy hour). I read other reviews and was a little unsure, but let me say if you want traditional southern charm and great service from the employees this is the... more

We saw the reviews. We saw the brochure with the stunning rooms pictured. We read the interesting history of the place. (Claims to still have remnants of the cot where soldiers were hid in the basement during the war.) We arrived to find it lovely outdoors. The lobby was nice. The desk clerk was mildly annoyed at having to end... more

A coworker recommended that I stay here for a business trip to Mobile. It is bit no-frills, but you will find that it is a charming atmosphere. The rooms are old and gorgeous (ask to stay in one of the restored rooms), there is free wireless, a continental breakfast and free parking. The service has been wonderful - it is... more

We enjoyed our stay for a long weekend at the Malaga Inn. It is on a surprisingly quiet street 2 blocks from the primary downtown restaurant area and about 6 blocks from the Exploreum. Ammenities included a large modern bath and dressing area, comfortable bed with down pillows and comfortor. Our room opened onto the lovely courtyard and had a... more

A friend and I attended Bayfest this year and all the big names were booked so I ended up getting a room here. We really enjoyed the courtyard and rocking chairs on the balcony! Rooms were enjoyable, bed comfortable, staff was polite. Bathrooms did leave something to be desired and I would catch breakfast somewhere else...but if you are looking... more
