I fell ill on a trip and needed to stay in a hotel for the night. I ended up having to go to a local emergency room and take some medication, so I ended up staying three nights instead of one.

The room was gross... there were blood stains on the sheets, the shower wouldn't drain so you would end up sanding in 3 inches of water by the end of your shower, the towels were all stained, the room phone would ring mysteriously at 3am and then stop... etc.

Also, I was prescribed medication that made me sleepy, but even though I had paid for my room in advance, and left the Do Not Disturb placard on the door, the woman who cleaned the rooms would bang on the door every day... not knock... just start banging on the door as if there were a fire. Really irritating. more
