What a bleak place to stay the night. Honestly, how do Americans put up with these soulless developments? An Interstate exit, a pancake house, a gas station, a hotel and that's it. A few miles up the road and Montgomery wasn't much better. I've rarely seen a downtown so devoid of life and excitement after sundown.

As for the hotel - it was clean, comfortable and we had no complaints about our stay here. Except we might as well have been sleeping on the moon, it was so remote and lifeless. more
