Security Lock missing from door, tables in room had no bolts holding tabletop so when placed items on table the top tipped over, shower curtain moldy, clock did not work, ran out of TP as only partial roll in room and no spare and breakfast choices were poor. There was a business center but internet did not work. more

We made reservations at this hotel for Valentines Day Weekend. The trip was with friends for a weekend at The Casino and Dog Track. We booked a no smoking room for 4, 2 double beds. The Holiday Inn Express which is nextdoor to the HoJo was full and the desk clerk recommended the "new" Howard Johnson. Apparently the hotel is new, 7 months old, but the construction is shabby. There were gaps in the ceilings, tile falling off the bathroom walls, sheetrock so thin you could see the studs behind it, rusting airconditioners, flimsy plastic... more
