My first visit to alabama was great but my hotel stay wasn't. The check-in and check-out process was slow. Truly awful experience. Property is in complete disarray. I believe it would be dangerous to bring children there. Some semblance of a renovation is occuring, but unbelievably dirty. This is the worst excuse for a hotel I have every seen. Management are a bunch of amateurss. Staff not trained, Excuse for a continetal breakfast is a joke. Employees eating and SMOKING with each at the "restaurant" Bugs in rooms. No hot water. No one cares. more

Room was not ready when we arrived at 4.30pm. Checkin indifferent to this. Disgusting ashtrays by the elivators looked like cat litter trays. When I first got there, they couldn't find my reservation. Then, my room had not been cleaned. The wallpaper was coming off. People were smoking everywhere, including the elevator. The noise at night kept us up until 1:30 am. There was a Narcotics Anonymous workshop going on and they were noisy and they let their kids run wild all night.... more
