I stayed in September 2009. I had business in in Jing'an District and Huai Hai Road each day. On the map the distance did not look too far - but in reality, it was a 30-40 minute drive to those areas. In retrospect, I should have stayed closer to those areas, but I will review the hotel on its own merits aside from my commute.

The good:
Very clean, well-appointed rooms
Polite, helpful staff
Near the south train station.
Meals had a variety of foods and were quite tasty.
There was a convenience store with early/late hours right across the street for snacks, drinks, etc.

The bad:
Floors 1 and 2 had ceiling heights shorter than my personal height. Floor 2 in particular was short, I would estimate 6 foot ceilings. The floor I ended up on, 6, was standard height.
Noise from the hallways was a problem - the doors were thin.
The toilets were too-easily backed up. Lest it seem this was a personal problem, each of the colleagues I traveled... more
