We booked in hoping to be close to the 'heart' of Pudong (near the Oriental Pearl Tower etc) sadly it wasn't. It was a good 15 minute taxi ride from there. The whole area is being developed and there is so much construction on that road - of course that has nothing to do with the hotel.
We couldn't find the nearest metro - therefore had to do taxis.
On arrival there was no electricity, while that is not the fault of the hotel it did give us a bad image to start with. The room stank of stale smoke - even though we had booked a non smoking room. Apparently every room is the same - according to the receptionist.
The carpet felt like it hadn't been cleaned for a while - although the sheets were clean. The bathroom was very clean.
The advertisement in Chinese outside the hotel advertised for 6 hour rooms... and I suspect they also hire out for shorter times - not quite the sort of hotel we are used to staying in. They had displays of condoms and such like in...
